Hi all. I'm here to ask for an opinion about upgrading from macOS Big Sur to Monterrey on a mac mini, late 2014.
What do you think?

 

I held off for a long time because I really regretted going to Big Sur. Huge mistake. Slowed down my 2015 imac to a crawl. So I made the move to Monterey and it's just the same. No better, no worse. I wish I had better news.

 

Thanks for the answer, but sorry for my poor reading comprehension, I understand that it works just as bad for you, Big Sur than Monterrey. But not worse?

bfd3 and ad2 don't work on monterrey

 

First. Make certain that all of your projects and such are backed up. The only process I currently know of requires a workaround that will run on an internal or, external SSD but, will erase any data in the process. See here for an example:

You should put Mojave back on it. Logic 10.5. I know some new programs require newer versions of MacOS, but I wouldn't want to do any of them with a machine from 2014. or my 2017.
