hello guys, i have bias fx and my problem is that it starts very slow and the gui is also slow too, i have a dual core cpu 2.5 ghz and 4 gb ram. when i open bias fx in reaper it shows that is not consuming so much cpu (consumes 7% and 50 mb of ram). There's something that i could do to resolve this issue? thanks in advance

i just had the same problem and i was in touch with Positive grid support team for more than 6 months.
its finally fixed in an unreleased version that they sent me in Dropbox.
wait for the next updates and your problem will be fixed.

I would say BIAS is just a slow program in general. Takes at least a few minutes to load up on my system. It loads all kinds of subprocesses, fancy graphics, checks activation, blah, blah. Copy protection is what really slows it down if you ask me. It checks licenses every time you load a preset. Doesn't hit the cpu too hard, just kinda of a slow vst in general to me. Does have really great tone though!

 

they don't know that the sound is the more important, not the graphics. I think if they solve this issue, they will gain much money

Are you running from a HDD or SSD?

 

i'm running from hdd disk, i've see that bias loads subprocess that consume so much ram but not affect the cpu. the problem must be there

 

god bless you man for share this wonder, it works perfectly load in less than 10 seconds, i can tweak fine all the settings, so the fix is in the next update. Thanks again man
