    Hey guys,

Xmas time is here and I downloaded all Positive's Grid plugins from the sister site. Thanks Santa! :)

So far, I'm really really impressed. It sounds and feels amazing. It's the best amp and fx simulation suite I've ever tried...And I believe I have tried them all.

Anyway, as you may know, there're three different programs. Bias amp (where you customize your amps), Bias pedal (where you customize pedals) and Bias FX (where you put everything together).

The problem is, my custom amps are loading fine into Bias FX, but my custom pedals aren't.

As described in their website, the whole Bias suite is supposed to be fully integrated, so my custom pedals are supposed to show up on Bias Fx's pedals list:

"BIAS Pedal is designed to work seamlessly with BIAS FX. They share the same folder in desktop system.
Open fx menu in BIAS FX and go to “Drive” category, here you can find all BIAS Pedal. All the changes you made in BIAS Pedal will automatically sync to BIAS FX,if you want to adjust the detail of a pedal, just modify the same Pedal in BIAS Pedal plugin and save it, go to BIAS FX and reload the pedal with new setting."

Is anybody having the same problem? Did you find a way to fix it?

    Cheers,

    R.

I thought pedal-integration wasn't working yet on the desktop version.
This was some time ago though, and I didn't try a recent demo or anything from the sister site.

I suppose this is the problem, then.
The k'd versions are probably a little outdated and don't provide this function yet.

insert the pedals as a separate plugin (insert) before the amp.
This is the most obvious solution that comes to my mind.

    ps.
    Lucky You that You get them working... no luck on my side;

I was getting that error too, but I've managed to fix it.

First, if you have already installed them, uninstall. Use Revo Uninstaller or find another way to make sure every single Positive Grid/Bias files, folders and registry keys have been deleted.

Then, install plugins again. Make sure you are connected to the internet and that the plugins can connect.

Before applying the k's, load plugins in your DAW as demo versions. Then close your DAW.

Open your hosts file as administrator and add the recommended blocked entries to it.

Then apply the patches. It worked for me.

    @RMorgan
Thanks for the info, but that I have to connect my DAW to the internet, is absolutely unacceptable.
...I can live without the new BIAS if this is the "price" :guru: the old version will suffice

Well, you don't need to allow your DAW to connect to the internet. Mine is permanently firewalled.

You need to be online to install the plugins, though.

If you're a guitarist, these plugins are a must have. Really great stuff.

I did not have to be connected to the internet for anything during the installation. Everything worked perfectly following the instructions in the nfo. I stayed offline, installed the plugins, ran the keygen and it was up and running in under 10 minutes on a cheap laptop with Windows 8.1.

Your´e wrong dont mislead people to be online when they dont have to
And as a guitarist for over 35 years i.m.o Revalver is better sounding and you can load IR files and tweak the Amps even more then Bias.
And also most of the tone really comes from HOW you play a.k.a it´s in your fingers i have heard really good guitarist playing via a cheap transistor combo with a cheap budget guitar and they still sound great

    :dont:

I didn't invent it to "mislead people". I'm just quoting Positive Grid's FAQ:

"If you encounter the issue that the BIAS plug-in showing the error message as below, the internet connection would be the root cause.
BIAS plug-in needs internet connection to certificate your device when first time launching. Please try to reinstall BIAS again, and launch it with internet. After the first time certification and license activation, you can run BIAS Desktop without internet."

You'll also need internet connection to "unlicense" the plugins before you could try installing and patching them again:

"To deactivate your license on certain computer and release the quotas, just simply uninstall BIAS Amp on the computer you want to deactivate with. Note:You will need Internet connection during the uninstall process."

As for tone and feel...Whatever. We all know it's subjective. I for one don't like Revalver very much.

So far, in my opinion, Mercuriall, Scuffham and Bias are the best sounding and most pleasurable to play guitar simulation plugins.

Well, the fact is that I (and many others) are unable to install it.
What we have in common, is that we have no Internet connection ?!?

Concerning the insallation, it is nothing complicated, and it is not the first time that I install a cracked software on my pc.
