The team in my avatar are crackers of Cubase on Atari.
It's the actual screenshot of the graphic which comes up when starting the cracked Atari Cubase.

I know. I'm well aware of the MCA versions of Cubase (I had them, but preferred my legit version of Notator and Logic.)

I thought I was fairly clear, but if you re-read my post, you'll see I made zero mention of Cubase or Pro 24, I was specifically referring to Notator and Logic, which were mentioned as being cracked. I was simply adding corrections and detail to that statement, which was incorrect regarding those.

There is no dishonor in a dev getting their software cracked by R2R, more like an honor they bothered with them.
Like hockey goalies who have been scored on by Ovechkin, or boxers knocked out by Tyson.

I am happy to be wrong but I am pretty sure they say two things regularly:
    1. Support the good developer, and
    2. Don't make money from warez

One other thing whenever it occurs, which indicates they removed any unnecessary burdensome code that makes the app load faster
If you check how many crackers there were on the ATARI / AMIGA's...e.g.. Killroy and a pile of others more than the number today surprisingly...

I think H20 released in the late 80s before Radium? and there was another called Oxygen from memory around the same time as Radium who did the first stable Logic cracks before it went back to MAC as the sole platform.

There was/is also an elite group who have been around for decades who do not crack per se anymore, software to the public i.e. - Anonymous

Second one is about people who sell pirated stuff to other people.
I think using warez to make money at the beginning is okay if you buy them one by one when you can and also this is the case for people who make money out of music.

I do not have any problems with that - I think what they are saying is if you know you are going to make money regularly from it because you intend to use it on most projects that do make money, then buy it.
I have bought apps they cracked and with a couple I use theirs because it opens and runs faster.

I was expecting them to release Serum 2 and end the saga with Rev1,2,3,4, etc. But alas....:) This is not a request. :winker:

They have made mention before they do not support "business warez", so that would indicate any commercial use by real studios, marketing/ad agencies, etc. But the actual "middle fingers" thing probably does more specifically mean the profiteering websites and outright online stores that look like eBay. "Their work" is not the plugin itself used in a track on YT that makes a few bucks. It's the released patched software and accompanying keygen. That also includes any other teams using their keygens in "their own versions" without permission and credit; and any other sorts of repacking by others.

High tide lifts all boats. Don't you think they would want to see artists/musicians' songs making a little money? That would be a pretty good way to farm new licenses.

This nfo file even says "we don't have any websites to make money from."

So this is a new compressed format announcement?
I don't know why people are so excited about this.
There are still so many unbroken monsters in the jungle and the king's seat is still empty since AudioUTOPIA.

it's more about the 'we're actually taking months off (as opposed to people who think so every time they don't see a release for a week)' announcement

can anyone tell me which release was 15000?

Strangely enough, the members here seem to forget about the contribution of AudioUTOPIA to the scene but imho they were the last who cracked some serious stuff both for Win and Mac...
