Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro vs. Sony MDR 7506

    They aren't entirely flat, no. But neither are the 770s. The 770s have overemphasized bass and the bass quality is just awful. The A900Xs are a bit "warm" but it's nothing you can't EQ down. They're extremely easy to EQ. If you want some "neutral" closed backs for mixing I'd say go for the AKG K361 but I wouldn't use them for anything BUT mixing. They sound as lifeless as the real AKG's corpse.

    Either or... I have two sets of the Sony's sitting in a closet collecting dust lol! :(

    I use 2 cans and a string between them To quote everyone I know they use Closed for recording and Semi for mixing
    so use that as a starting point and then your ears
