Hi everyone,
I have just re-released an old song from 2000 in two different versions. I am also making a selection of some of my songs to print to a cd and distribute to my friends, family and acquaintances who enjoy my music. If you had to choose one version, which would be?

Thanks in advance! They are together, one after the other as if it were a "single" from the old times. As a digital release, I did not have to worry about space so I released both. But to print to a cd, I will have to make a choice.

 

Both have their merits, so why not make two versions?
Version 1
Version 2

 

I enjoyed both really, but I have around 60 compositions to try to choose from to make a selection to fit into a CD and my plan is not to repeat songs, even if the versions are different. Between these two I am finding it pretty hard to decide lol

 

Hello @jennyblack, I'll follow your request and listen to both. I prefer version 1 - the vocals and bass come through more clearly for me - it's clearer and more concise. Version 2 drowns out a lot of things!!!

The two versions are cool. The ambiences are very different. I think the 1st one has something more 'expressive'. So, unless the 2nd one works better with other songs on the CD, I'd go with the 1st.
