Best year used mac for audio production, mixing and mastering?

    Hello guys, I'm currently using a late 2012 MacBook pro and have planned on upgrading it. I mainly use and need it for audio production, mixing and mastering and I mostly track live instruments and don't use many synths. I'll have around 30-35 tracks on an average per project. Which year MBP is the best I can go for? I've read that mid 2015 MBPs with 16 gigs of RAM and 512GB SSD, are awesome. Given the macs supported with latest OS and softwares are 7-8 years from their release date, this is secondary. I just want to know which mac I should upgrade to. Please do suggest guys. Thanks in advance!!
