    1809 Enterprise LTSC

I'm using it for 2-3 years now and I never ever had issues
    Best for audio latency
    Best for gaming
    No useless crap preinstalled
    I disabled windows defender
I applied so many (free) optimizations
Never ever crashed/no blue screen ever

You guys got me thinking so I looked online and found this:
    SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_LTSC_2019_64-bit_English_MLF_X21-96425.ISO (3.8 gig file)
    Is this worth trying?
Anyone with experience on this edition?
    Thx!

The entire layout and scheme of Windows 10 is dreadful.. Get hold of STARDOCK. You can change the interface back to (almost) Windows 7. Quick and easy to install. I just couldn't work with Win 10 stupid interface. Dark Mode might be OK if you have good sight. For old fogies like me, it SUCKS,

Ah yeah and one very important thing about LTSC version is almost never updates so it stays stable all the time
There are no Windows Updates or if there's something it takes only a few 100-200 MegaBytes and that's it
I have no idea about every 6-8 months I got some updates before I tried to shut down it said don't turn off your pc...update coming...only 1-2 minutes update done shuts down.
    Best version is LTSC Enterprise

I know the minimum req for Ableton 11 will be something like 20H2 Windows or something but I don't care 1809 is the best for me

I don't know really how it differs.
You can go to oprekin.com and ask
You can look a video in youtube "oprekin" to have an idea

Don't forget to prepare many drivers (motherboard) when you format and install new system :)

You never know the type of content a modified version of windows might contain. Either you trust the releasers, or you modify it yourself based on your needs.

In general, LTSC versions are of preference.

Grab an ISO, modify the features you are definitely sure you will not be using, then activate it with KMS38. Once booted, tweak its preferences through O&O 10.

Now save a disk image snapshot of it.

Additionally before formatting a physical disk you might want to try such desired build on a VM.

    Best.

Oh I couldn't remember where did I find how to change specific colors in Win10
There's a good article about changing things in the registry editor every color can be changed by hex values in the registry editor.
Google it I can't remeber how I did it and which internet page.
What really annoyed me is when inside Ableton I clicked away from a plugin window the "plugin's title bar" was all the time irritatingly white so distractive so it is possible (only through registry editor) to change the "inactive title bar"s color only.

For example check out biskuwi's default window behaviour and check mine:

Same here, this is the way to change it:
    • Personalize > Colors > Check "Show color on title bar"
    • regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
      • Set AccentColor = 494949
      • New > DWORD (32-bit) Value > AccentColorInactive
        • AccentColorInactive = 333333
Note: The value of the hexadecimal (hex) color code is entered in the format BBGGRR.
Normally a hex color code uses the RRGGBB format, but this DWORD value uses BBGGRR instead.
For example, if you want to use the hex color code A7708C (A7=Red, 70=Green, 8C=Blue),
you would enter it as 8C70A7.
