Looking for a fantastic website for say trap/rnb/rock/jazz etc samples. One's that truly knock your socks off that you know will need minimal processing, possibly a few effects, and lay down some drums and chops to really make it unique?

I've tried looperman and say a simple youtube search of older songs, cut favorite parts out. But I'd like a really good source that may be little known, or a tool for samples?

 

Akai and Native instruments have tons of expansions for their "beats" software/hardware in this vein.
But if you seek originality, better make your own samples with virtual instruments.

 

unique? huum... but it will be the same sample with some drums and chops...

 

I don't do crate digging that much anymore as lack of space and the pandemic don't help matters you know?

But... I've had great fun and results by sampling stuff from various obscure-ish artists, Soulseek and FLAC sources work a charm here.

For punchy snares, say, noise rock has been an endless trove for me. Butthole Surfers, Melvins, Helmet, Cows and so on.
