What do you think? What is the best violin library that sounds most natural? Is there any section that users shared their setups in the forum? If not, can you share some of your instruments (guitar, piano, string etc.) and effects settings?

First, Do You ask about solo Violin or Ensemble?
Second, Preset Sharing have had some Posts but users have not participated.

By Solo, Friedlander, 8dio Violin, spitfire
by ensemble Spitfire solo strings, Lass2 , Berlin strings.

I mean solo. I know the libraries that you wrote, but why are these libraries so huge as size? Which effects should be used for getting a more realistic sound? I can share some of my own presets in a topic but other people should share their setups too.

The size is Huge because Every instrument Has different sampled Articulations (Play technique) Like Legato, Glissando. Portamento, Staccato, Spicato, Pizzicato, ...
and Round Rubin (Different notes played every time you trigger the same note) and different recorded Sample Microphone positions (Close, Far, Ambient).

A good Library has all these samples Recorded and That is why they are most over 5 GB

About Effects, depending on Your song. I use Valhalla Reverb and use it's Hall for most of my Mixes. Eq to Lowcut and Compressor can be used to make the sound clearer in the mix.

About sharing What for example You mean?

Honestly, that didn't sound too convincing to me. It seemed both strident and synthy.
Dropping simple Sonatina instruments into a free midi file and adding Reflektor yielded this which sounds more realistic to me.

Ok thanks for the reply. I didn't know Sonatina maybe i'll try it later too. BTW Soundcloud link is not available

Edit : I downloaded Sonatina and checked it out now a bit. It sounds good although it is free but the libraries that i use are better than that. I think i should improve my playing too for better and convincing results.

Everyone has an opinion and I hope giving mine didn't offend you. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.

Of course no, i'm open to criticism (and every view) but i don't accept insulting while criticizing.

    BTW My New Video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WN7FMK5gwwg

But this doesn't contain strings :)

Which libraries or VST plug-ins do you use except Sonatina?

    hello, cs2014,
if, when you have found your most liked library, then if, when, you still need some support from another instrument, you might check synful orchestra, with its automation possibilities, might give you what you are after in sounding, in phrasing, in colourful expressiveness.

on the synful page, there exist couple dozens of demonstration tracks done by users, choose the pieces featuring solo instruments to hear it shine through, hopefully there will be something convincing sounding material for your needs.

wish all of us the best of the best, including the smallest possible, best sounding, even if somewhat old, synthesised violin instruments...

later edit, post scriptum, ooooops, this thread came up more than one year earlier, sorry about being irrelevant, in case anyone feels so about his post...

best stuff has omnisphere2 imo. its fast loaded and ready to play, because the kontakt stuff may sound better, but you have to deal with the more advanced controlling.

    Stradivari Solo Violin.
It's like 10 years old, but still decent, that is after you denoise all pp samples. :bleh:
