Whats the best version of Izotope Rx? They say its Izotope Rx2.

Is Izotope Rx5 good/better than Izotope Rx3 (soundwise). I'll just use it for denoising some recorded vocals.

    Thoughts?

    Why did you exclude RX6?

I'd say RX6, but that one has issues running on Wine right now, so RX5 probably.
RX4 was the most problematic for me, and RX3 does not have FLAC support.

Rx 5 wasn't too revolutionary since rx 4. So rx 6 is much better. Since rx 2 is my 97% go-to editor and recording/tracking manual restoration system, dithering and src.
Spectralayers pro 5 is not bad addition. Wavelab, soundforge, audition and several others are your friends for rx/spectralayers in some rare cases. Also vst shitloads and DAWs for much more options. Any broken dirty shit may be fixed and improved up to clean and sterile sound.

I use RX just for little clean ups. Hardware cockups like clicks here and there, in other words. RX3 is still good for me. No need to change. I'm one of those guys who record most things as they should sound like and hate editing it afterwards. This usually leads to a good sounding mix and I'm sticking to it. Oldschool.
