Hi, there!

I'm soooo interested in these stereo-to-surrround upmixing plugins.

I know that the result will never be the same compared to discrete original 5.1 mix, but when you don't have an access to, for example, original music stems for a movie with a 5.1 mix, an upmixing plugin is the solution. Although leave the music in stereo will probably work good too.

Right now I'm using DTS Neural Upmix for upmixing and it's already awesome.. but I'm also curious on how the other plugins sounds like. I want to know the testimonials from the users who had bought the plugin..

I also want to compare the quality between each other. It's for experimental purposes, btw.

The plugins are :
1. Penteo 7 Pro (Based on the professional reviews, this plugin is excellent)
2. IOSONO Anymix Pro
3. Soundfield UPM-1
4. Auro-Matic Pro (This one is so expensive for me, I'll never be able to buy it lol)
5. Waves UM226
6. NUGEN Audio's Halo Upmix

You should check out IZotope's Ozone 6 Stereo Imager, very useful for mixing the image
