Trident? I wouldn't place the UK nuclear capabilities in the hands of Arturia! You don't want to have to release a nuke and have a moogy synth bass sound go off instead! :P

Slate Digital apparently has an emulation:

"Slate Digital’s VCC is modeled after 4 legendary analog consoles and when I say model I’m referring to the analog saturation, character & depth that consoles induce upon source material both in the channel section and on the mix bus. The 4 console models you have are not directly named by Slate Digital but one can make assumptions based off experience and assume: Brit 4k= SSL, US A= API, Brit N= Neve and the Psi= Trident."

And you would be wrong! One of the first studios I recorded in had a great Trident 80B that sounded Amazing! Especially on my Akai S612 and my Yamaha RX11! Fat Drums for days!!! :bleh:

    Wish I had that console!

Trident is a very interesting concept, it is one of those desks from which its components give crazy phasing shiftings that happen to sound very musical. It was modelled by ear rather a more mathematical approach. It will color the sound and should not be used for surgical correction. it's good at mid hi and air bands. I like the softube version.
