    Hey, people.

Do you know a great quality transverse flute library for Kontakt? I was thinking to get the Chris Hein library just for the flute, but maybe you could recommend me an flute only one.

    Thank you.

Every flute library uses transverse flutes. Orchestral flutes are mostly transverse flutes. The only difference is the alto flute because it was used more in the baroque era. But as all the modern stuff is coming from the romantic era and those orchestras used transverse flutes pretty much every flute library contains transverse flutes.

If you need a transverse for orchestral or chamber music try Berlin Woodwinds, for other tasks Orange Tree Samples Passion Flute is really great. If you PM me I´ll send you a torrent link of a Vienna Symphonic flute that sounds pretty decent. Good luck.

    P.S. I don´t like Chris Hein stuff.

It was not until the mid 1850s that Boehm developed his alto flute in G. The exact date of its invention is unknown, though there is documentary evidence to suggest that he made his first alto flute in 1854 or 1855, when he was 60 years old. (Wikipedia)

Vienna Symphonic Library, historic Winds 1. Bar none, one of the best. I only wish they would do a pan flute...God, I really want a good pan flute with fluid dynamic controls and the ability to control different styles of attack easily. Havent been able to find one yet.

Yes, I simply didn't made a difference between recorder and alto flute because the difference is not so big. But of course you're correct.
