    Did you try the Kontakt portable versions? Latest v8.8.0 works great for me and I am using it under Wine in Linux!

    Give Acoustica Pianissimo a try. It's small and sounds freaking awesome. It's around 500mb. For the price and size, and simplicity of the plugin, I don't think there's anything more optimal. Unless, yeah, you're going for the 10GB libraries. Honestly, in the end, can you really tell the sounds of a piano that much? Add EQ and Reverb and they all sound pretty much like a piano.
