I've got a problem, I'm trying to install v2.1.0.224 of Engine 2.
However, I had version 2.1.0.186. I uninstalled it with CCleaner but when I install v2.1.0.224 and run Engine 2, version 2.1.0.186 appears. Any idea how to fix this? The weird part is, in CCleaner it shows version .224... wtf is happening
I can't find anymore files to manually delete when uninstalling the previous version...

 

Use free EasyFind to look for all files, its killer!
Your Os version could help a little right?
In my experience pre Yosemite install are unstable.

v2.1.0.224 release is fake not working latest proper version is by TEAM V.R aka v2.1.0.186

 

How are people getting Forest Kingdom II to work if these releases are fake?

We're not. There's no way to get it to work unless you have v2.1.0.224 or higher.

Just thinking, although i haven't had the time to try it myself... doesn't Magix Independence/Samplitude come with Engine or is able to load those .ytif and .ytil files since the library that comes with Independence are in that format? Has anyone tried to load the Engine library files into Independence? Let us know if it works. I seem to remember that Magix bought Yellow Tools, the creators of Engine, Best Service were not the devs were they (?)

 

i think v2.1.0.224 is only RTAS working...

 

I tried the latest Independence I could find, it doesn't work with FK II.

 

I think Tracer (the guy who cracked it) mentioned in the info that he couldn't fully get that part of Independence to work or something along those lines. It's all in the nfo if you want to know exactly what he said.

 

This is quite an OT, but Engine 2 has been one of the biggest disasters in the audio software world. Oh, I shall post in this "worst audio soft ever" after finishing this (edited: sorry for the 'shall', learning English by watching 'The Last Kingdom" TV show is not a good idea)

I'm not talking about the bugs/instability. Everybody said that the CPU usage was humunguous. Back in the day I thought "ohh, it must play one zillion voices with algo-impulse-nebula-reverberation to say the least". One month later in some forum, a Yellow Tools employee tried to help: "disable all reverbs per layer and apply a third party reverb after Engine2". This means that Engine2 can't apply a global effect.

I wonder if he still works for YT. Well, they broke, so he doesn't. And I wonder if someone someday will release all these beautiful Tarilonte's libraries for Kontakt (BTW, I saw him in a "Celtas cortos" gig long time ago)

Well I've installed Tracer's 'Independence Pro Software Suite v3.2 OnlineActivated' and I can install the Best Service Engine libraries but when I try to load an instrument a Magix E-licenser pops up with a challenge and response lol, and no Kg in Tracer's package to handle this, so .... if no one knows a solution i'll give up on this one.

Added .. It's Ok I have Engine 2, I'll use that.
