I mainly mix in Cubase and am familiar with Pro Tools. but it Looks like some future work projects are gonna require the Avid cloud service and I don't want to even think about porting AAF/OMF files in and out of cubase. Just would rather open the session and move along.

Any solid tutorials out there taking one from 101 to beyond? I could take a weekend to get pro tools certified but I know the information is out there for free and I'm certainly capable of teaching myself.

Pro Tools training 101 and 110 from Lynda com Its taught by Frank D. Cook certified instructor, They are the topics that they teach you in the official certifications

 

Doing that for Logic made me money. It is a good investment if you wanted to teach eventually.

 

You can also read the manual, I don't think you will find a specific tutorial on avid cloud or exporting or importing AAF/OMF files, personally I think they are very simple topics to understand, you can also take a tour of Pro Tools Expert, They have many informative short videos, you can also try their premium content for 14 days.

 

Pro tools is easy to use, but difficult to make it stable.

Pro Tools Expert features some useful tooltips. And the manual, yes.

 

InfiniteSkills for PT12 was decent. I'm not sure if you'd find exactly what you are looking for there?

Haha I certainly can look through the manual but I'm a trial and error kind of person, so it's easier if another human being is walking me through everything since and most of these YouTube tutorial people cant be trusted
