I just got Kontakt and I'm wondering what are some good libraries? I know Kontakt is best for orchestral type sounds but anything that has some unique sounding synths or more obscure sounds I would definitely be interested in. And if not kontakt libraries maybe a recommendation for some other vsts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

 

Spitfire eDNA is worth a look, has a wide sound selection.Output Signal and Rev a bit different

 

What sort(s) of instrumentation? What style(s) of music? Your request is rather open-ended. Have you perused the "sister site?" This forum has a list of free Kontakt instruments and also of free plug-ins.

 

I produce trap beats mainly and some hip hop. I also like some of the edm sounds though.

Hmm obscure synths, I'd recommend you right now some of the Homegrown Sounds libraries, may not be 100% obscure but gets close and they sound pretty unique in my opinion.

If you want some good synths... all you need to do is buy everything from Native Instruments!
But start by downloading their free Reaktor Player synth...
