Hi guys, I'm having a hard time to find the right step sequencer for producing electronic music conveniently.

I had a look into M4L and there's a lot of cool sequencers, but I'm looking for a all-in-one hardware unit.

    If possible with polyrhythmic possibilities.

I only have a Keystep Pro and Digitakt for now, but I'm looking for something that would be more advanced and self-generative such as Polyend or Squarp Pyramind (but I really have no clue, not convinced by the YouTube videos I watched).

For the record I'm not into modular yet.

The sequencer in your Digitakt is more than likely capable of doing everything you need it to do. It's weakness is it's inability to create song length sequences, but if you're happy to trigger the patterns yourself, it's a capable polyrhythmic sequencer with some really cool functionality (ie, ratcheting, probability, trigs and parameter locks.)

If you haven't fully explored the capability of your Digitakt's sequencer, you'd just be spending money for the sake of spending money. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, he said, as yet another cheap Behringer synth he didn't need got delivered.)

Ableton Push 1 /2 (believe push 1 has scripting abilities and 2 does not - not sure cus i dont have either, but want one) but both have good integration with ableton and maxforlive.

Had bunch of hardware sequencers and still have some, but yeah depends if you want to sequence your hardware synths get a cirklon otherwise sticks to something like the push
