Another cool thing about MCabinet is you can analyze an multiple IRs and create an IR that combines them all.

So I made it analyze my entire IR folder and the result is the best IR of all times, because it contains every single cab model from every manufacturer with every mic position and natural phase mixes and minimum phase mixes and raw mixes and stereo images etc.

Imagine having all guitars in the world combined into one, wouldn't that be awesome? However you can't say "ok now I want you to sound like a tele", in fact you would have to have super human hearing to hear the tele in there, but whatevs man, blaze on.

 

The trick is finding what YOU like.
And stick to it.

The default mode of the Kemper is a mic'd studio ready sound which is great for recording. If you want an amp in the room sound you need to turn off the cab and use a real FRFR speaker. Kemper have made their own called the Kemper Kabinet or Kone which is specifically tuned for the job, or you can use a standard FRFR monitor, and you even have the option to use IR's instead of the profile cab. It's a higher end solution, but I know you are a bit of a perfectionist and you can get some good used deals if you look around. Personally, I only use mine for recording, which is perfect for me.

As mentioned above, find something YOU like, and stick with it!

I remember looking that feature and thinking "what the fuck is the use of this" ?
Wouldn't surprise me he created that tool for developing purposes and decided to add it at the end.

 

I was serious when I said I scan all my IR folders. It took me a while to realize doing that didn't give me the "essence" of a cab model

Yes, it can be. But that would require to reorganize your IR-folders. Huuuuge task

 

There's no best for sure, but I feel like the Koch cab from TH-U is seriously underrated. From clean tones to high gain metal and everything in between, it was never a bad option whenever I did cab comparison.

Yeah, I remember "improvising" one day. I ended with an IR of the... how should I say this... "The White Noise Album"?

 

Is that the album they recorded just before Paul died?
