We say that Arminator2 is designed as a homage to the Yamaha CS80, it can not be considered to be a faithful emulation of
that fantastic instrument but rather it’s aim is to offer patches that hint at the original instruments power. Others say that
Arminator is a stunning homage to the Yamaha CS-80. It’s one of the best emulations you’ll find and it’s completely free.

Version 2 includes the following enhancements:

The scaling of various controls has been improved, the LFO can now be synced to a KeyPress.
KeySplit can be anywhere on a key across the 10 octave range. KeyTracking is now available on the LowPass and HighPass Filters.
The Sine oscillator in the Line Amp can now also be a -1 or -2 octave sub. Mono Poly on individual lines and a Chorus effect has been added. Lastly line 2’s envelopes can be delayed by up to 500ms from KeyPress.

But none of that is particularly important unless you’re an existing owner. For anyone else all you need to know is that this is a fabulous CS-80 emulation with some great presets, for free, wrapped up in a rather cramped, small but functional GUI.

The only slight weirdness is that it’s a 32bit plug-in for Windows only.
But provided your DAW supports 32bit plug-ins or you use some bridging software then it should be fine.

My comment: Wow the Arminator 2 a real surprise, how beautiful but music can sound. Krakli has created something great.

I second that Arminator! I love any CS-80 emulation and this one is really fun. It's also very light on your CPU so you could load so many of them if you wanted to layer them without having to bounce to audio.

The Devine Machine - Krishna Synth was released in January 2007 and cost 236 incl.Vat EUR.
The company no longer exists, the product is no longer available.
The company FKFX brought the KrishnaSynth Legacy back to life at the end of October 2022.

Hi @Olymoon, I played the Krishna Synth 2 x 3 a week back then and now every few months in 2022.
As we have all noticed, there are so many and usable Virtual Software Synthesizers now.
If you have too many installed like me, the time you spend with one synthesizer becomes more and more scarce.
Then you have phases where you try out and phases where you only deal with one synthesizer.

 

This is a nice synth, and the full content and additional (about 5gb) is still available on sister site!

Yes. I installed old Krishna Synth in Sandboxie, then installed Krishna Legacy (new version), installed new presets and registered it (by dropping .zip on the plugin), and then just copied old presets over the new ones. New presets are part of old ones, their sizes are identical.

 

I remember this synth. Old beast. Yes, really weird but cool one.
