free to use doesn't mean u won't pay something. Most developers suggest a donation, but if you just want to test it you can get it without paying and infringing any law. But if you are using something regularly you could consider to support developers... There are some companies giving it for commercial purposes. For example i got "little clipper" from Boz and was so satisfied i ended buying "Big clipper"...

Oculus Audio SDK Plugins

Oculus’ Audio SDK is now officially out of beta, giving developers a range of audio spatialization plugins for Unity, Unreal Engine, and audio middleware along with a free library of over 500 high-quality sound effects designed by Oculus specifically for use in VR.

Developers looking to integrate 3D audio into their games and applications on PC and mobile now have a few more tools to add to the mix, with the new full release supporting spatialization and environment modeling for the upcoming Oculus Rift, Oculus DK2, and Samsung Gear VR.

Among support for Unreal Engine and now Unity 5 with their Oculus Native Spatializer, an add-on plugin for Unity that spatializes monophonic sound in 3D relative to the user’s head location, the new Audio SDK supports audio middleware like FMOD and Wwise, an AAX plugin for Avid’s Pro Tools, and a VST plugin for Windows and OS X. BBC Sound Effects

These 16,000 BBC Sound Effects are made available by the BBC in WAV format to download for use under the terms of the RemArc Licence. The Sound Effects are BBC copyright, but they may be used for personal, educational or research purposes, as detailed in the license.

*** BBC recently opened up their sound archive to the public. There are sounds that go all the way back to early 20th century. Some really good s*** in here. A bit tedious to download each file separately and rename each one, but I think it's worth it - just know when you've had enough, and continue downloading another day.

Gogodze is a West African dance, music for that dance and drums used to play that music that some people still remember, but it's fading into the mists of history. Phu means bones, but sounds similar to vu, which means drums. So, the Gogodze Phu series is our collection of the ghosts and bones of traditional percussion from across the world. This first volume contains samples of five bobobo drums from Ghana - a set of peg-tuned drums in five sizes - and a cajon recorded in Poland.

The bobobo drums have one articulation recorded for the bass drum, and two articulations for the others. The volume and pan controls are obvious in their function. The tune controls have a one-octave range both down and up. The mute controls simulate muting using a sample offset. Finally, the tune spread control tunes the lower drums slightly down and higher drums slightly up.

The cajon is sampled with regular hits in five strike locations, plus two types of side hits, two strike locations with the snare removed (for a conga-like sound) and finally finger rolls. The finger rolls work not by hitting the key, but by holding it down for as long as the roll should last, and they have a dynamics control which affects volume, plus a location control which crossfades between finger rolls near the center and near the top. There's also a contrast control, which makes the rear mic slightly more prominent on more central hits, and the front mic on edge hits, which makes the difference between "kick" and "snare" sounds on the cajon a little bigger.

There are a total of 544 WAV samples, and the library takes up 90 MB of diskspace.

Gogodze Phu Vol I requires Plogue Sforzando version 1.933 or newer. Free download, open source and royalty-free for all commercial and non-commercial use, including conversion into other sampler formats and redistribution as part of larger sample libraries.

DC1A is the little brother of the compression monster DC8C. I've taken a few of my favorite settings from DC8C and tried to make it work in a two control context. Sound wise it's comparable to the PUNCH mode in DC8Cbut offers a few additional features, such as negative ratio and stereo unlink. I've always wanted to do a compressor with just an input and output knob, a compressor that just works: gentle, faithful, from almost invisible, smooth leveling to heavy pumping with a nice crunchy saturation and punchy enough to treat drums with.
DC1A looks like a one trick pony. But don't get fooled by the lack of additional controls. You may be surprised on how many different material this little thing works. DC1A has a few tricks up its sleeve: negative (over) compression, parallel (New York style) compression, option to compress left and right channel independently (via the DUAL MONO switch), peak and RMS compression (RELAXED switch on) and DEEP activates a high pass filter to reduce pumping on bass heavy material

Flintpope used this radical Reaktor-based synth to create twelve unusual pad sounds that are long, evolving and occasionally surprising. If you like adding sounds to your tracks that are off the usual spectrum you may like these. Or you may just hate them.

Palette is a VST/AU for creating and playing rich, evolving pads on Mac and Windows platforms.

Inspired by the look of a paintbox there are eight coloured rectangles. Each one is a trigger for a sample. The colour changes to red to let you know which ones are in use.There are eight Flintpope samples, all chosen for sonic richness, depth and atmosphere. Any one sample on its own is a fine pad, but you can go on to mix different combinations of sounds to create up to 64 different variations.

CONTROLS

Each pad has a dedicated Gain and Pan dial.

Master controls are Attack, Release and Master Volume. There is an LFO with separate controls for Rate, Depth, Waveform, Destination and Source (try Expression as a Destination for peculiar results). Hailing from Africa in the '70s and christened by Fela Kuti, the infectious sound of Afrobeat combines elements of jazz, funk and traditional Nigerian music.

The likes of Talking Heads, TV On The Radio and Vampire Weekend have all been influenced by the genre, and now it's making its presence felt on SampleRadar.

What you need to know
The samples are split into three construction kits of different tempi (105, 110 and 118bpm). These contain drum, bass, guitar, keyboard and percussion loops.

All the samples are supplied as WAV files so can be imported directly into your DAW or sampler of choice. Because they're royalty-free, you're welcome to use the samples in your music in any way you like - all we ask is that you don't re-distribute them.

The Afrobeat samples are supplied in a zip file, so you'll need to extract them before you can see them. Enjoy!
