In which cases Cubase is "deeper" than S1?

In which case isn't it ? I doubt you've paid a dongle to find out...
You need to be more confident about your toy....oups about your fantastic daw that just discovered chord track and colored midi notes :)rofl:) according to velocity.
I'm sure in a few decades it will be there. Decent midi tools, articulations and all. It'll be fun I can tell you, just be patient.

Is it all what you've seen in this update? And what's the problem with articulations? I don't need it, I'm using "articulation per track technique", and with import song data and track templates it's much easier than those f_cking "articulations". I'm also don't see any problems with midi.
Still no answer to my question.

Ok so I didnt take the time to read any of the previous comments yet so my apologies if I am asking a question that has been covered already. So arent AAX Pro Tools plug-ins like twice the size of VSTs and COMPONENTS ...... That alone to me says the quality of the digital conversion is probably superior is it not?

From my experience, the opposite is true:
Better developers often use fewer blown-up 3rd party libraries and take more care about high quality algorithms. It's often the tiny plugins that are both more efficient and of higher quality, although that's not a general rule of course :)

If for the same product the quality of AAX and VST/AU was different, I bet that's happened unintentionally.

Studio one v4 is a great Daw and ableton, fl studio and Cubase are great DAWs too. You don't need to invest a lot to create good music. A laptop and a software with some 3rd party plugins, an audio interface with a mic and midi keyboard or a guitar, and you can start making great music.

I started off with Fruity Loops which became FL Studio but soon moved on to Studio One 2 but I must say that my true love lies with Bitwig Studio. I know that a lot of folk would disagree and that's okay. Everyone to their own. I'm not a big EDM type person but prefer to record in an analogue type fashion. Bitwig allows me to do this quickly. I'm not into any tricks or special effects although I do incorporate my own methods. For me Bitwig fits the bill and is very user friendly when it comes to straight forward recording. It is drag and drop and quick to navigate. If you have an idea then you can just jump on to Bitwig and pin it pretty sharpish. I also love the layout and colors. I also use Studio One but keep reverting back to Bitwig.

For composing i use Reaper rewired as a slave to Traction Waveform or rewired as a slave to Studio One. For FL Studio i use as a Reaper plugin, for Ableton Live i use as a slave rewired to Reaper...

For mixing and produce i use Reaper rearouted to Sonar or Mixbus...

    Yes DieM
There is no perfect DAW and at the beginning it was a bit difficult to choose and stay with one, so i decided to take the best of all of them, witch is far more interesting and unlimited, but this is just my opinion

I think Sonar/Cakewalk is the best DAW for windows, if your are using it for studio / music production work. Most of the people doesn't really know this DAW or it's capabilities, judging on the answers here. Of course Cubase and Studio One are great alternatives too. Cakewalk was one of the first DAW made especially for windows user back in the 90's, when Cubase came from the (very succesfull) Atari platform . All the other DAW came later. I also like Samplitude, Reaper, Protools, Logic for different reasons. I would recommend users that work on serious music production / studio /video / audio - midi editing /post production etc to give it a try.

Yeah it's what suits the user I reckon. What works for you is what matters. I use Studio One and Bitwig.

I completed more songs with a Tascam 4-track. I used to think the Beatles would have been even more creative and productive with a DAW, but now I wonder if they would have completed anything. ;-0

I am using LPX & Live. When i do Trap (Hybrid) i use Ableton simply beacause of its easyness in the matter of quickly mangling audio. Perfect for the dubsteppy things. Plus i exclusively use Cableguys Volumeshaper for sidechaining.Triggering it via midi is a pain in the ass in LPX. Works perfectly 4 on the floor in LPX but anything besides that (like Trap) is tedious. For Future House or Bigroom House i mostly use Logic.

    You are absolutely right DieM!!
Maybe someday someone create a standalone software for open and linking DAW S by audio and midi as we have for plugins like Minihost or Metaplugin with drag and drop bouncing capabilities to exchange audio and midi files between them.:)
