Im looking for an application that can transform a simple wav-file into playing in a loop!

Any suggestions on what app is the best when it comes to workflow, quality etc??

    Thanks in advance

Looping is not an attribute of a file, it's a playback mode. So you can playback any wave-file as a loop.
If you want to prepare an audio file so that it can be played as a seamless loop, read this:

If you want hints on an audio editor, I'd always use wavelab, but there are some free alternatives that are absolutely great for audio editing. Audacity comes to mind...

You can find hints on all of this in my free webzine on techno music production:

Any wave editor that can zoom into the sample level will work.

I second fraifikmushi about Wavelab. It's a superb editor.

As in a daw, I have tested Acoustica Mixcraft 7 and it's pretty well when it's about looping. Just stretching the file on timeline is enough.
