Yo, I was about to upgrade my pc when I saw some videos about DPC latency and found out that I maybe running some click-pops issues becuase of my actual graphics card (gtx 770), every 10secs I got a spike of 500ns in LatencyMoon from the GTX, so, I wonder if someone can tell me if RX 570/560/550 does a good job and which one should I get only for music production?

I migrated from nvidea to amd 6 months ago. currently using a RX580 on four 1920x1024 displays. Running absolutely well, even on large projects and low latencies as well. Notably, plugins that demand graphics resources like OPen GL, and others that demand high memory usage like Arturia, seem to have much better graphics performance when compared to my previous GPU (obvisiouly because my new GPU has faster clock, larger onboard memory "8GB Samsung DDR5"and Radeon drivers). My previous card was a GTX 480. The lag for the plugin GUI to pop up was substatianly worst before. *, my RX 580 is natively a RX 480. the hardware of both models are basically the same. just tweak the BIOS and voilá ... AMD RX 480 upgraded to RX 580 with A BIOS flash [XFX AMD Radeon RX 480 GTR > "RX 580"]

Here too. I went for Sapphire Radeon RX 590+ Nitro and it's been nothing but a smooth ride ever since. Running two 2560 x 1440 displays and one 1920 x 1024 32" just lovely.

I can't say about current Nvidia offerings (though earlier I had no issues with a GTX960), but currently am using a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB and it gives me no issues whatsoever.

If you don't need the graphics business then a RX 400 series should be a good bet.

    No DPC problem here
    RX480 8GB MSI + Win 10

Very nice option to get a cheap second hand 8GB GPU
    And silent too

Switching to AMD cards was the best audio hardware decision I've ever had. I even made a thread about it here:
    https://audiosex.pro/threads/graphics-cards-do-matter-for-music-production-a-lot.32237/.
I went from 128 buffer settings to 16 in my Audient ID22. Total RTL is less than 5ms. Tracking never felt that good!

Not only Nvidia driver is atrocious for DPC latency, it also interacts very badly with other services (like hal.dll), causing interruption spikes everywhere unless you have an audio interface with very good drivers, like an RME.

Running an old RX470 with no issues here. If you don't play games I would definetely recommend getting an used RX card. Heck, I do play games and it holds its own unless you're playing recent AAA games.

it's about driver, not graphics card model,
do you have GeForce experience uninstalled? automatic driver updates disabled?

usually latest cards are rather clunky until drivers are optimized,
on the other hand very old graphics cards may not receive driver updates which makes them less than optimal when using up-to-date operating system,

I don't have any DPC latency problems on my hackintosh running GTX 1080 Ti

I think is almost a fact that usually nVidia drivers are worse for DAW tasks latencies than AMDs(Radeon). They seem to load more the CPU (comparatively).
That doesn't mean nVidia's can't run fine. Personally I'd totally go for AMD since I'm not into gaming.

I am also an owner of a 5600XT(Combined With An 5900X), coming from an GForce 780.
And it has been a hassle-free experience so far!

Maybe this video can give you another reason to go AMD!?

here asus amd radeon RX550 1080p
i can go as low as 1ms in fl studio without pops or clicks but a higher cpu load then for example 5ms

I unnistalled everything from nvidia, just the driver, and the nvidia dll still gives me +500ns of latency, tried everything I possibly could, but just unninstalling the nvidia driver get my latency to 50~100ns

I a have a GTX 1060 and I also have no issues. But I did like you said I uninstalled those extra apps. I always uninstall apps that I don't use.
With Windows less is more always.

hmm maybe try disabling nVidia audio output (hdmi or displayport basically) in Windows device manager? it's an absolutely useless additional driver/device running

maybe you have driver problems i have a focusrite scarlett 2i2 1st gen and i am not using the latest version drivers because i get problems therefore I use older beta drivers without any problem

BTW, motherboards also have their own latency figures even when not using onboard audio. Very few review websites test it. Only Anandtech, IIRC. Eteknix used to as well but not anymore since I guess gamers don't give a shit.

It's worth taking a look at Anandtech data when building a computer from scratch. Latency figures change from one chipset to another so you can't always trust the same manufacturer. With that being said, Asus usually has great latency figures. Asrock for example quite terrible ones.
