    VST3 & AU / Windows & Mac (10.9+)

    Latest version: 1.0.0

A free analyzer/signal generator plugin pair to analyse the frequency response of any plugin (or even hardware).

This plugin started as a developer tool but has been simplified so that it doesn't require a complicated setupto work. Just sandwich the effect(s) you want to analysebetween the generator and the analyzer. That's it!

It's particularly useful as a learning tool to see what classic EQs are doing for example.

Is this a Plugindoctor killer? Seems nice to me not having to leave the daw

I haven't been able to make it work. Reaper didn't even recognize it.

Nope, DDMF's PD is way more than a simple EQ curve analyzer.

   , it's stand-alone.

I just stumbled over this today. So great that you can just insert 2 instances, throw whatever plugin in the middle, and see how it behaves.

SSLChannelstrip 2 with 10 K boost and a HighPass set at 60 Hz (which actually cuts way higher at around 100 Hz):
    SSL Channelstrip 2 .png

Also interesting: the G Series uses proportional Q (= the more you boost/cut, the steeper the EQ curve becomes) while E uses constant Q.

Same Settings on the BX SSL J (it's somilar on the E as well). See how the TMT applies slightly different curves. This time, the Low cut is around 35 Hz (although set to 60):

MAAG EQ Air band 5,5 dB Boost @ 2.5 khz:

MAAG EQ AIr Band 5,5 dB Boost @ 10 kHz:
    Maag Air Band 02.png

I think now I know why I almost never use this: once you engage the air band, the signal is boosted by 2,5 dB. So if you use it, you have to trim the signal by -2.5 dB to have a fair comparison.

lkjb Luftikus (aka freeware MAAG EQ clone) shows similiar behavior but the 10 kHz curve looks steeper:

You should throw it on Kiive Tape Face and have a look at how the models behave based on Input/Output curve if linked.

It's a really neat plugin. Now's commercial and available at... ahem.. "massive discount" on sister site
[EDITED]: my mistake. Only the Denoiser has a new paid Pro version, this one is still free.

Er, from their homepage 'This plug-in is provided under the Pay-What-You-Want system, including for free.'

Yep. He only has one paid plug-in, the newly released Denoiser Pro v3. Both Air Shelf, EQ Curve Analyzer and Denoiser Classic is worth at least $10 each IMO, if you feel like you get good use out of them :) He updates the plug-ins often and they are very well made!

Yep you're right. I assumed all their plugins had a Pro version now, but it's only the Denoiser.
    My bad.
