    First impressions:

RD8 sounds even better than the 808

Odyssey is a monster: it has the voice of Godzilla when it gets angry

They REALLY should have made them expandable. Big ups for accurate recreations but if the RD8 could have loaded samples.. *mind blown*

@NeverenoghFun GoldenAge and uad are excellent brand, you won't regret. I'm afraid the rd8 will never have swap samples functionality: due to its architecture (analog) it would be impossible

Kinda disappointed the sequencer of the Odyssey can't be triggered by the rd-8 by cv, , but whatever.

Bring on the Pro-One and all the rest. I can't wait. And before you complain, look at the price tag and quality of product. My Neutron is an incredible piece of gear. It ain't Emerson's modular Moog, but at a hundredth of the price I can't complain.

There are 2 versions of RD-8? RD-808 & RD-8? What is it? I don't understand. Someone can explain?

behringer received official complaints from roland and it went to court. So they named it rd-8 instead of rd-808 and changed some colors.

But now is more similar to Roland TR-808.
    Vivid colors like original etc.

Yeah doesnt make sense right, probably Behringer won the case by keeping the colors, lmao. But lost the name.

"Thank you midi for making my life easier" at 1:35 in your video that why i asked.
Tbh your bass patch sound way off the original, you only hear some sub, could easily have added a top layer and made it more swing like the original with odyssey. Just take it as constructive criticism, no hating here.

Every instrument in the performance is connected to digitakt and it plays via midi (I’m not a very good player) but notation does not came from a dowloaded midifile, I patiently reconstructed the song by ear.
Yes, you're right, the bass of the original song has a more squelchy sound

Finally signed up here, dont know where this comment is going to appear but if you have any doubts about the RD-8 not delivering- Dont! Its a amazing machine, not for the price (which is great) but it bangs hard, if you're considering getting one but are not sure, seriously get one you will not be disapointed.

Ive got a Roland TR-8 which is functional but this beast blows it away on the 808 duties. I was seriously telling myself that I would regret it if I did'nt get one and do you know what? I was right.

Every day Behringer wipes out the competition.
I'm 63 and used Roland and Korg for decades.
    Where are they now?
I'm buying most of what Uli is re-releasing and more.
F**k Roland, Korg, Yamaha, Moog and all these other fat losers who need to trim lard to keep up.
Pro-One, TB-303, CS-80 are the first on my list to buy when available.
