joking maybe, but people always seem to care more about the UI than the capabilities of a program now. everybody demands vectors and customized colours and they are happy to sacrifice power for simplicity.
dont get me wrong obviously an easy to use structure is good and helps workflow a lot, but personally i would prefer behringer to spend more time on flexibility and worry about the UI when the function is ironed out.

Looks like they are going to compete with Studio One and their hardware. The controller wars. :D

I wouldn't be happy to sacrifice power for simplicity - you're correct in saying that feature base is important. But so is the GUI and being able to to access said features or execute said commands, without hours of 'faffage' that Reaper notoriously inflicts upon us. Yes it's super powerful, über configurable and can do Loads of amazing things, but not without a lot of time & grief first. There are things I can do with MIDI in Cubase that are a breeze and make total sense but require long work-arounds in Reaper (and others). Personally, I can't stand Tracktion/T7-DAW and Ableton doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me, either, but then we're all different and have our own preferences and methods! One can never please everyone, but with any luck, Behringer will take pointers from Studio One.

    We can only hope!

But I already know their ads:

One DAW to rUli them all: composING, recordING, arrangING, mixING, masterING.
Not to speak of: eqING, compressING, deesING and reverbING.

If it looks good it must sound good. That's just science.
