    My AKG K240 DF are so far the best one I've ever had. Reasonably priced used pair is easy to get on eBay (discontinued in 2006). Really, even high price models don't stand a chance, in my ears at least. :rofl:

    I used to despise AKG sound but I must say, my K271 Studio were very affordable to repair. Cheap cable, cheap ear cushions. My Sennheiser HD600, on the other hand, had cost me 3 times as much to replace the cushions, headband and cable. Both earphones have been with me since 2001, so I can vouch for both of them being VERY reliable. 271s are closed and HD600 are open for those long sessions. Just my 2c.
