    Hello

I am having to reinstall everything from scratch as I there was something not nice that got into my Mac downloaded from the sister site.

I am trying to install the Battery 4 factory library, but every time it keep failing on install...when I go through the installation process it says that it will install the factory library to the 'shared' folder on my Mac...I have a Time Machine backup with everything installed on it, in terms of the factory library so was wondering whether I could just drag and drop from there.

(The reason I can't just restore from the back up is because when I last did the backup, whatever it was that got into my system had already gotten in unbeknownst to me)

    Thanks

Would you not find it easier to remove whatever it was that caused the issue in the first place? And then once it's fully removed, merely make a new backup.

Hmmm. You've already deleted everything now though, so my initial suggestion is moot. I'll keep thinking and see if there is a way around it.

I haven't installed Battery in years, but I seem to remember you had the library in place first before installation of the main software.. So that when you install it, it recognises the placement of your previous choosing..

I'm not sure though if that only applies to Windows

I haven’t a clue what it is that got into my Mac, if I go down that route it’s like shooting fish in a barrel…basically I installed some arturia soundbanks from the sister site and then my Mac stopped seeing my Apollo twin

I’ve looked at all options and the only one is to install everything from scratch. I have found that if I point the user library path to the factory library folder it sees it’s as a user library rather than a factory library so that for the mean while is good enough for me
