I have been ripping old AKAI, Roland, EMU CDs lately. A lot of these Disks have long audio tracks with the samples on them spaced out by silence.

I have been using logic to detect silence and export waves for me. Daws like Reaper, Audacity, Audition, etc can do this for me but I'm looking for something much more simple. Almost like an Audio archive unzipper. I drag a folder of audio files into it. It detects the silence splits the audio into new files and saves them individually.

Google has been giving me dead ends when I look. Most of the apps can only convert mp3 files or have an interface similar to a daw.

If you can find it : WAVEKNIFE (old program, possibly imports only 16 bit files)
