i think its an eq filter opening up with some resonance

 

it's called oscilator sync-ing, modulated by some kind of envelope with slow attack and fast release. Here's a bit of a tutorial, it doesn't have to be oddity but you'll need a synth that can do that.

 

We may as well play this game too, What synth/controller used here? It has a nice size screen but not in Color:

you know, I think I have gotten this one wrong before as well. Because in the picture I uploaded (quick and poor screenshot), doesn't it look like a Mod wheel left of to the screen? The "Left Hand Controls" strip with the real Wheels is just out of the picture and not easily visible in the dark picture. I believe you are correct on this one. The video is what it looks like if you need to "play all these parts" on a track some other person made before you show up? Nice ;]

This is what I think of when I think A6. It works better if you flip the picture. :
