Virgin poppin his cherry with a first time post. Ever since I found audioz and came to the awakening of such a wonderful scene I have been like a kid in a candy shop. I keep telling myself "make music" and then I find myself DLing all day and night lol. Well looks like amongst all my shenanigans my ISP has throttled my bandwidth big time. I can't even stream Hulu without it buffering every 2 seconds. I have reset my modem but no go. Are there any work arounds for this, and resources one can point me to? Anything I could or should be doing to stop/prevent this from happening. Thanks in advance. P.S. I don't mind hacking/modding if given thorough instructions on how to do it.

Do you use a VPN? If not, check it out. There are free ones, check out the forums on this site, there is a ton of useful info about VPNs kindly put up here by the community.

You've probably abused your ISP's fair use policy. They usually get re-set at the start of the next months payment. If you have a limited monthly account (5GB / 10GB / etc), you will need to upgrade to an unlimited account, but Fair Use Policy is still a condition. Go online and check their T&C. Also try download at different times of the day (and night). I tend to download big files in the middle of the night, there are less people using the internet (with your ISP).

My account with my ISP is based on a monthly quota / cap.
Once it is reached, the bandwidth is slowed "shaped" to something like 128Kbps or 256Kbps, until the next mothly cycle starts.

I suggest leave your small downloads (<50Meg) till your bandwidth is slowed, then suck on the smaller stuff.

also be sure to relax with the downloads...if you really want something, buy it...if you really NEED something and you have 0 dollars...AudioZ is just an option...but don't go crazy getting things randomly when you know you really only need a certain amount of tools to achieve good music *yes*

As much as AudioZ is a warez site, we aren't a 'Rebellious' site. We don't hate on developers, we respect them for their hard work an efforts, but at the same time we can't really afford their hard work :( , so sometimes we rely on other developers to crack what they make, and we respect these groups as well...

please be mindful and appreciate morals and values and only download what you need...

but I know how you feel, because once Catalyst gave me a download coupon and I went nuts...but I'm not proud of that...

I'm pretty sure everyone that comes here has more than a couple of pieces of software they didn't necessarily need per se. But I think most of the people here try and support developers where they can.

One seldom discussed aspect of software piracy is that is drives up the sale of hardware. I have a friend who went on to drop $1000 on hardware in a couple of months once he was introduced to pc-based recording.

For example--note how the hard drive industry went into high gear (take a look at your very large and very inexpensive hard drive) once movie piracy became a mainstream thing? Coincidence? Definitely not.
