How often should active directory be backed up? Do admins normally back it up daily or weekly? I’m guessing they use a utility built in windows and back it up to a cloud location.

it'll vary depending on the size of your organization, but since active directory controls all passwords & permissions backing it up daily is a great plan, as is having multiple domain controllers for redundancy. most organizations large enough to need active directory will use third party tools, but it is possible to use windows backup. even though I've admin'ed it at work, running it at home is too much of a pain in the ass. do you need it? if you're asking these questions I have to wonder if running it makes sense
