Automap or HUI for Novation Impulse49

    Hi folks, just purchased a second hand Novation Impulse49 for £80
    Checking which firmware was inside I decided to download the updated firmware from Novation website.
    Upon reading the instructions etc I have now discovered that Automap controller software has been discontinued and if I still want to be able to use it I shouldn't update the firmware.
    They now recommend using Mackie HUI software instead.
    Has anyone updated their firmware and regretted doing it?
    I've bever used Automap that often and don't want to update in case I prefer using it and can't use it any longer as I have updated the firmware which I would imagine isn't downgrade-able.
