    This is how some dev:s is trying to fool win people for ages
    As Mac now getting cheaper and more and more kids today get them "free" in school it´s time to fool mac user also.
    Believe me most people without any computer knowledge or skills ( other than typing fast :) ) think their computer is infected if they get those messages and become afraid that they will loose everything on their computer

    Okay, scam sites apart; I noticed that AudioZ has become either mediocre as site.
    Navigation (scrolling) is one of the worst of all in the www and the load images on scroll option sucks.
    Moderation staff is also full of self entitled wanna-be-Sheriffs (not all) but this is an issue on many forums,
    also on more or less hidden ones like msj (macserialjunkie).

    Indeed Cook, AudioZ has become a rather slow and CPU demanding website since the last changes more than a year ago or so. I really dig its looks, though. I love neon! :wink:

    Speaking of ads, I haven't noticed anything bad happening lately, when I'm logged in. Not even peeplink gives me popups any more. Good. And I keep my uBlock Origin disabled.

    But when you're not logged in you get popups, yes.

    Feel free to go somewhere else.

    You claim to be an oldtimer and you're discovering this sort of scams ?
    LMFAO
    the administrator of the website probably doesn't choose the ads here. (you should know, you're an oldtimer right ?)

    But since you're a mac user, I understand .... you don't know a lot about computers (but you think you do)
    and you're discovering the real world.

    Maybe one day you'll take off the training-wheels of your little bike, and be able to play with the big boys.
    But watch out, just so you know : the little guru lied, there are malwares for bikes with training wheels.

    ""

    even with an old core2 quad the website and forum are fluid and easy to navigate .....
    time to buy a new little overpriced bike with training-wheels, or an 49,99£ per month app to clean your browser.

    the only reason it happens is because our main page has too many images. so what you write can be true, but only on these conditions:
    1. you have old hardware;
    2. you opened too much tabs in your browser;
    3. you have slow internet connection.

    yes, it's a problem, but it's not that critical to make me remove thumbnails from main page :dunno:

    The worst thing is Peeplink. Every time when i click on a new peeplink, pop-up window opens. But that's not the worst part.

    Sometimes, a link opens which force me to download the chrome extension. The browser goes to full screen mode and pressing escape won't work. Very irritating and forced advertisement. :thumbsdown:

    I've gotten in the habit of hitting ctrl+A then ctrl+C and pasting the links in a word document and then copying and pasting the desired link in my browser from there.

    Yeah my computer isn't connected to the internet most of the time, but every time I log into AZ I get some nasty popups. AS is clean for me though.

    thanks, i will report it.

    first of all, you could send me the link of the page you see in the popup window;
    secondly, you can register at PeepLink and never see another popup again.

    I get pop up ads when dl.ing "know i should go with jdownloader but i been lazy i guess"
    I use firefox and avoid porn sites like the plauge "well on this machine he he"
    So how on earth have i ended up with dodgy sex ads
    "like ill double click an rg or ul link and i will instantly be directed to an advertisment"
    Most of the time its just an annoying "how to make a million" or some genreally harmlessish crap
    This redirecting actuslly happens to me 70% of the time at least and it never used to.
    Ive run so many decent paid for virus/spyware/adware removers and yes i found an awful lot,but this one annoying sex popup just wont go away permanantly..
    "btw do any of you know what it means when in firefox history it says youve been chosen" in pink lettering and is usually the popups adress or site address or whatever???
    I been using ghostery n spybot tekky edition etc for some time now and obviously adblockplus etc so have any of you guys some genuine suggestions coz its quite an annoyance?
    cheers in advance..
    Btw also a moment ago i dl.ed a break beat lib via rg and was instantly redirected to
    "pop ads.net"
    Not a nasty ad i realise but still.......

    It may sound funny to many of you but using internet explorer with adblock 1.5.856 version solved all pop up problem. All the other browsers (edge, firefox) with adblock and ublock origin fail to stop pop ups. It also works with peeplink. No pop up. Long live Internet Explorer!!!!
