AudioThing really has some truly innovative plugins, even though most of them are for very specific uses. They definitely get a lot of use on my end, especially vinylstrip

 

Yes. VinylStrip is the plugin that finally unseated iZotope Vinyl for me. Excellent stuff.

 

Nice! But nothing new (xoxos cymbal, Waldorf Attack, Sonic Charge uTonic, Drumatic 2/3/4, etc etc).

 

@Army of Ninjas Yeah, I gave Izotope's Vinyl a try and honestly it felt somewhat toyish and predictable so it never really got any use out of me.

 

Yes, I would generally use it for really obvious "lo fi" intros that bypass Vinyl for the 1st drop. I've found that VinylStrip is more useful in the context of a mix--rather than as an accent piece.

 

@Army of Ninjas , definitely feel that! Sometimes I like to just use vinyl noise, clicks pops and tape noise, taken from music that was recorded or sample that' way you have something sort of pre-generated and compress it to whatever I want to have that sort of style and viola! It gives the thing an a bit of analog ambience without having to sacrifice ultimate control of not knowing what the master will sound like instead of sort of randomized generator that may not give the illusion of analog you desire =)

 

AudioThing has updated Hats to v1.1.0.
New features:

• Added second Sample Slot.
• Added Auto Play feature (from the More menu).
• Added new LFO destination: Ring Mod Depth.

Also, Hats' intro price has been extended to May 12th.
