When I changed to m1 mac and the torrent site that I was using wasn't enough to get the plugins I needed, I searched and in Reddit they recommeded the sister site as an alternative and there I found the forum. I think that this is an amazing community, It invites you to hang around way more than just to get plugins, I hope that it last for many more years

I wish I only had 3,800 3rd party plugins, I had to buy a spare hard drive for my spare hard drive to fit all the plugins in, Most of them I don't even get installed before there is a new version to download... I'd say I have a half a million, but i probably forgot a drive or something..

don't get me started on samples, I have samples of samples of samples, just in case I need to do a soundtrack for a documentary about sample collectors..

 

and sometimes even in the AMs, around here. they just can't get enough....

 

Well. I dunno how i 've not answered this. I discovered both differently and then i realized the two were linked. Audiosex i found after searching for something other than the old Gearsluts where everyone is still an expert at everything and it got to my nerves badly at some point.
Audioz i found because my long time Usenet subscription had ended and i was reluctant to renew it, so i went looking for something else. Now torrents and sharing soft i knew from day one, but i needed something that could be easily accessible, with no fishing like some crappy websites and able to provide speedy links. I don't mind subscriptions.
Now i must point out, having being a studio and live professional for at least 4 decades, i like to buy what i use and make money with, just as i like to get paid for my services. It's an embedded principal, as i grew up like this. With that said, i also like the ability to check soft that i wouldn't otherwise and warez gives me this opportunity aplenty and i will take advantage of it as much as i can. I like to stay in touch with gear and nothing beats a hands on experience.
And because all this brings some memorabilia back: I was also one of the members in the Nightclub audio hub of the sharing DC community (first two way interactive p2p soft) and admin in Nightclub2 and then when it all went south due to being publicly open, we switched to a private dc++ hub that i will not name, as it exists 'till now, nuff said. At least one person in this forum knows what i 'm talking about hehe.
