I'd like to do vocals but I'm not a growler or anything like that, more along the lines of maynard from tool

 

Can we create a sound palette of ingredients we should use in the track and can we figure out what the reference / benchmark track is? no point in just going in blind right?

To clarify:

Own track AND collab = You do a track on your own AND you're part of one big collab track. If you don't want or can't make a track by yourself, you can still choose this option to be part of the collab track only.

Role within ensemble = We will divide ourselves in teams and each team will output one collab song. If this option doesn't win, you're still in for the collab track mentioned above.




For obvious reasons, the "Own track AND collab" option is more doable.

 

Going blind is exactly the point.

This is about METAL. You sign up for it and then you deal with whatever comes at you. Leave the excuses for the EDM guys.

Trying to be realistic here so I think that the real options should be:

- Own Track + Collab Track
- Collab Track Only

 

I can do synths and midi I did a celldweller remix recently so you can definitely see what I'm capable of

Should we make a discord or skype group or w/e? I feel solidifying the subgenre of metal or having discussions about what we are creating/ what our inspirations are will help provide a vision for the tracks direction.

 

I am trying to get a foundation going on here first.

Let's keep all the talking within this thread for now.


My only hope is that the "Bigepicollab" turns into a mini album within the album... a majestic closer or something like that.

 

I think you should set deadline to submit the tracks.

 

About this... I feel that we could have a general theme (suggestions?) BUT musically I am TOTALLY AGAINST a common direction.

I think we should celebrate Metal and it's diversity. Do whatever your vision tells you to.

 

I don't skype. My internet connection is bummer slow. How about a group conversation here?

If we are not so many people in the end, We might end up with a team big team collaborating on various songs and have an album in the lines of:
"The Audiosexed Metal Album featuring ..."
with credits per song.

I'd love to do something with two bass lines. We are officially two bass players already.

 

One thing at a time. There's already a deadline for membership (April 1st).

After we get this running we will discuss the major deadlines but you can expect the deadline for the first assignment to be during next week.

The final deadline depends on other factors, don't forget that there's a collab track, artwork, possibly mastering, etc.

 

Uh... isn't that what we're doing?

"If you're here to Collab Only, please add "Not making a track" to your post."

Which means it should turn out as:

"Skills

Main: Keyboard
Secondary: Music programming

Not making a track"
