Hello everybody of Audiosex,

I'm trying to stream myself playing Video Games & also some Production sessions as well. I was curious if anybody here has done this & has any info about it. What is the best way to record the highest quality audio?

I was curious if there was a way to use a Mic plugged into one of the inputs of my sound card (I'm using an Komplete Audio 6 card) to broadcast sound through Open Broadcaster & also be recognized in the game Audio settings and be able to chat in game. Obvious advantages are sound quality over a Headset, and I was looking into the prices of headsets and they are ridiculously expensive and notorious for having terrible headphone audio quality. So why not buy a mic that I could use for basic vocal recording & streaming. I can find the input in open broadcaster, but in game it wont recognize the microphone.

I'm thinking there might be a way to do it with a virtual audio cable? I have VB-Cable but I'm not sure the procedures to set it up in this fashion.

Anyway, any ideas are much appreciated

 

Hi , i dont know as it is in playing games...and i hope i understand you right...
here is my setup for Ableton and Skype with VAC:

Run VAC click "Help" xD read "Simple cable usage"

You must run VAC & Audio Repeater MME (Audio Repeater is a exe file inside your VAC folder)

Set up in Ableton... Audio: Driver: MME/dx input : your mic output: Line 1 VAC

Create a audiochannel for your mic/voice... (in)

Setup Skype Audio... blabla ^^
Setup Windows Audio Output.

I was trying to use a free software called VB-Cable and i couldn't figure out how to run my microphone through a line. I just gave Virtual Audio Cable a shot and you can have multiple virtual cables running & it seems to be working well, thank you so much! I just needed the right software & a push in the right direction.

And hey, English is my first language and I have to say your English isn't bad at all! You speak better then some people I know, lol
