The Focusrite driver may perform better, but it definitely will be a different result using different drivers in different programs. If someone wants to compare the performance of multiple DAWs to troubleshoot an issue, it should be the same driver in all of them or it's a completely pointless comparison.

Screenshots of FL Audio Preferences and from Focusrite Control software mixer would help.

If the machine, the driver, or the operating system were the source of the problem, he would have trouble in all 3 DAW applications, not just one. And it is a PC, unless you can show me how to install ASIO4ALL on Mac? They should update their website. :winker:

the Asio4all seem to work better with the midi in Fl studio .....the audio interface driver be off at times it does the same thing studio one be doing at times when using some interfaces notes don't be on time and shit like that i think its based on the developers of each interface and them updating they interface to work with Fl studio

That makes no sense. All I can think of is user error, like not knowing how to set up your buffers correctly.

I would second your comment, but I have also owned a Focusrite. Their Mac software was why I went back to Motu. It can be more like Purchaser error.

It doesn't sound under water to me. It does sound as if you are about 3 inches from the capsule, and since the 2020 has a cardioid pickup pattern the proximity effect boosts the lower frequencies the closer you get to that capsule. Perhaps try backing off a few inches and see if it improves the sound to your ears. One of my mics is a Gefell m930 which also has a cardioid pattern and which has a proximity effect that kicks in at about 36 inches. Depending on the source and how I wish an instrument or voice to fit into a mix I use proximity to "eq" to my need or want. Experiment and see what works for you

Also see if there's anything in the masterbus, last time i used FL (It was a while back) it automatically put a limiter in new sessions, don't know if the current version has anything else, but sounds a bit distorted to me.
