So I wanted to try Arturia Spark. Installed 1.1.3, all went well. It seems as though most of the kits, the samples have a distortion or bit reduction sound to them. Especially the kicks and toms. I doubt this is the way it is supposed to sound and was wondering if I was overlooking something and if anyone had the same experience. Thanks!!

It's a latency issue.
You must set it less responsive, around 9ms or more, not to have this distorted sound.
:-(

Easier, didn't mean easy guys, to have it that slow with VSTi's only by the quantization but a real pain in the ass when recording stuff like guitars, bass and vocals.
Too bad, Arturia haven't fixed it yet, this plug could be great then.
(I may be wrong but I don't think it's coming from the crack)

Anyway, that's the main reason I don't use it and so do a lot of people I guess.

Thank you Nawhak but I dont think this is the reason. On my end at least. I normally have my latency set at 10ms. Using a EMU PCI Card. I set the latency to 75ms just to see but I still get the same ugly big reduced sound out of nearly every kit (the bass and toms.. low frequency sounds).. Anyone else? .. About to hit the uninstall button..

Same problem here mate, all sounds distorted

 

i see 1.1.3.1 just appeared today. Dont know if this solves the issue. Basically, everything sounds as though its being run through a 12bit sampler. I guess I am going to uninstall. Dont really like the interface. If anyone does find a solution, please post, maybe I can enjoy and bother to learn it if I actually like the sound coming from it.. Thanks all!

 

Hi, I think the problem is your sample rate is 44.1k Try changing it to 48K. This should solve the problem. Let me know.
