Hey all. Arturia released a bundle of FX which as they say, effects you'll actually use. Anyone tried them? How do they sound? Any thoughts? Is it just another emulation or a gem among many emulations of the same golden standard tools?

I said the exact same thing when I first used them, these fx have quickly jumped to the front of the line for me. The Intensity Reverb is amazing.

 

I wonder how their plate compares to UVI's.

 

Yep. This is what I was thinking. Not if the plugins are good (I suppose they are in general) but compared to other emulation plugins.

 

When you download the bundle... do you have to install everything? I also wonder the same about the V collection.

 

The best Arturia FX are the ones which are not "inspired by" or emulations of real units. Fragments, Refract, and Motions. And Intensity Reverb if you really need another.

If you want to install V-Collection, you may be better off installing them all separately. But if you try that with Analog Lab also installed it will never stop asking for matching/expected version numbers in Analog Lab. You can return it to working with some preferences files and so on. It gets old.

 

I see! Last year I got a good version of their Wurli and CP80 from the sister site. I'd also like their Clavinet and compressors (not the whole pack, for sure!), but from the comments both packs seem to have issues!
