OMG, this is craziness...
Just wondering if it will also ship with the famous libraries?

In the video they say that themost famous sounds are in !! I just downloaded the demo but hesitate to install because i don`t want to looose my other Arturia plug ins

 

Most of Arturia's plugins are top notch, just wondering which one(s) you consider having an "ugly sound"?

 

Remember seeing this strange looking thing that had like a TV screen attached to a synth on Top of the Pops or something and thinking it was the coolest looking thing I'd ever seen. There's the story that Martin Hannett wanted to buy one after gaining success producing Joy Divsion, but the other partners in Factory Records wanted to build a nightclub instead so he resigned. They were the start of much of the music technology we take for granted today in many ways.

 

It's not a sampler, sample playback, resynthesiser or direct-to-disk recorder like the later Synclaviers were - this is the Sync II's synthesiser only stuff - ie, the FM and additive synthesis from the Sync II, with some enhancements.So none of the famous Synclavier sample libraries or anything like that.

... watched the vid again; yes there will be 'some' of the original presets and sounds. (heard on countless hits over the years bla bla bla .. )

 

It is the actual original Synclavier FM/additive engine code from the original developer, it's not an Arturia emulation at all. Pretty cool.

 

One problem I always had with Arturias Vintage Models was that the GUI is just so terribly small to work with that it is no fun to create your own patches so you just end up skipping through presets of a bad preset browser.

It seems like they finally understood how it's done right.

 

Much improved sound engine. I just upgraded and I’m running through some of my favorite presets and you can definitely hear the difference. A serious improvement over the previous versions.

Really loving the new guis and preset manager. Job well done and well worth the upgrade as far as I’m concerned.
