Hi! I recently tried the old AAC Reverb and so far I think It's got some pretty good algorithms, The thing that bothers me is the hideous UI. Someone here made a Skin for an old Lexicon plugin, and it looked much better. Does anyone know if there is something like that for AAC out there??

I find it kid of fascinating that the devs just completely abandoned AAC.

Arts acoustic is already old huh, sounds better for big edm leads and chords tho, better than valhalla room or vintageverb atleast. Idk, but the UI is good enough for me. But they should have linked double click to reset a knob

 

Oh yeah, that also would be a nice feature....
I even would be happy with a really simple black and white interface like Valhalla vintage verb "now" mode. I really want to know why they abandoned it!

 

The competition had gotten bigger, it was no longer possible to sell enough plugins to pay the salaries.

 

You can reset the knobs by pressing Command key when mouse-clicking on it (on mac). Probably Control+click on windows.

Arts Acoustic is a really good firm. Everything they made *sounds* good. I still use their Phaser, but the reverb... well it still sounds good, but I like having less plugins and less choices, so it's Valhalla or Lexicon for me, all the way. When inspiration strikes you don't have time to waste on searching for the best reverb. On the other hand, I don't care so much about the FX when I'm making a track. Some FX are definitely part of the sound, but usually not the reverb.

Arts Acoustic reverb has really nice ambience [small room, big room] reverbs. It sounds incredibly good even after so much time.

Regarding skinning it, Resource Hacker should make you able to extract the PNG files, edit them, and put them back.

 

I really love that reverb! It's my go-to reverb, along with Lexicon PCM Native Reverbs

Wow guys, amazing! Thank you so much for helping with that. Maybe @The Dude can copy his dark matter skin colours (https://audiosex.pro/threads/lexicon-reverb-effects-dark-matter-skins.42889/) which I love to AAR. I sadly know absolutely nothing about graphic design, and what I tried looked bad. I guess because of the lightning and shadow effects.

BTW, the original lexicon PCM also looks like rubbish. What were they thinking?

The * .png are the 'new' images that you replace with the original ones when you use the Resource Hacker program. So these images have already been graphically processed. But you can just download the * .dll and replace the original one and then patch it.

Wow, it gets better and better! I think the buttons on the bottom could be improved. Right now it seems like the got a shadow of light. Still very nice work, you make all people that want to use this plugin but don't want eye cancer happy. Could you upload it somewhere other than zippy? I can't access it from my country.....
