General Artist Tips that you've picked up along the years

    Here's one of mine

I use card stock for my story boarding work because i like the option of being able to use markers and other such bleeding inks. But often we all make mistakes. Don't throw that mostly white paper away!

Use your mistake papers to their fullest potential. Turn them into color testing and or brush cleaning book.

subtle imperfections help bring out the natural realism in both music and art pieces...

To build on that, don't put all your effort into fixing a mistake, learn to move on from mistakes and to incorporate them into your art

Organizing pencils by color gradient is my preferred way of storage but for those extra pencils laying around stack-able Tupperware are a1. If you spray paint the tops white then use a dull pencil before it dries all the way you can write nice clear lettering on them

Quick tip on good paper for cheap. Buy cheap glossy poster board from Walmart and take a medium grit sandpaper to it to achieve a workable surface, makes surprisingly good paper

    you might like glaze.....
if you paint big and outside...you can make it from every paint...just make it thinner...
    its similar to aquarell then..

youre grinding structure is interesting for backgrounds and wall application..so you get unstructured structure layers under all...
the Italians have lot of technics for that stuff
    also with plaster involved

The "deepness" you are talking about i think is what is known as Saturation and sadly i cant paint with anything too toxic
