Have I murdered a great track from a great band or paid tribute.

I very rarely post on here (to my regret) but your work, here, is genuinely brilliant. You've reworked the Arctic Monleys, significantly, without losing the essence of the songs. More often than not, to my mind, remixes of guitar-based music just don't work. These are notable exceptions and, as other posters have suggested, I'd definitely seek to bring your efforts to the attention of the band/label. Kudos!

Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciate it. Would love to contact the band with it. Trouble is, I'm sure they'd just look at the number of hits it has had and just say, " Yeah nice try mate. Okay-ish track, but nobody seems to be listening to it".

The first Arctic Monkeys remix I did was of "One for the road" Sound wise not as good quality as I had to make my own acapella for the vocals, as opposed to having clean stems to work with. May be worth a listen though

One For The Road is definitely a warmup for the other two, Brainstorm being my favorite of my favorites.

 

thanks for the great comments. you're right about one for the road being the warm up. I have learned so much more in terms of production techniques since then, which i hope reflects in the music.
