Are you getting tired of youtube or its only me?

everyone seems to be trying so hard and so many people seem to talk and talk and talk and i have to sit there listen to whatever they say, .and sometimes i get frustrated with what i hear, it gets to me more and more lately, someone saying his opinion and i have to listen to it...and they will never hear mine, like why am i there listening to everyone's opinions/life/etc etc...i don't enjoy it as i once did

and speaking music wise...why did taylor swift release 31 songs or something for her new album

Youtube is like this phrase of Forrest Gump saying: “My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”

Not sure what you're getting at here. You're posting opinions.

    1. You can easily not listen to the opinions by simply... ignoring them, or not put yourself at a place where you the only option you have is either listen to opinions or get shot in the head.
    2. Don't open youtube site. There are around 1 billions other sites around.
    3. How can anyone listen to your opinion if you don't voice it out ? If you already did, and still nobody listens, it could be there's no one else left on earth or maybe the quality of the opinion itself isn't up to the standard, which is highly unlikely.
    4. Here's one thing to think about so you don't get frustrated with other's opinion :

    5. TS released those 31 songs because she can, money and of course because she has something to say, like all of us. About how to not listen to it if you don't like it is still a big mystery none of us here able to solve for now I believe.

I simply USE yt for what it is... No real opinion yay or nay - it's just a tool to be used when needed. However trying to use yt anymore with without proper ad/crapware tools would frustrate most into throwing it down the toilet IMO... They (yt/google) did that to themselves though. It wasn't always full of shitware ad's and garbage. That is something that came with corporate (google) takeover of the service.

If something is shoving someone else's opinions down your throat it's your TV, not YouTube. On YT you can at least choose from millions of videos what to watch, and with adblock like uOrigin and NoScript you never see any ads, too. On TV there are tons of ads. I haven't watched TV since mid noughties, but my old father watches it and he constantly complains about tons of ads. I could never go back to that. yukkkk :)

With time I have subscribed to hundreds of channels that I find good (972 now). You probably haven't searched and researched enough. I'd suggest you to try channels like "thoughty2", some of Simon Whistler's channels like "decoding the unknown", "warographics", "brain blaze", "sideprojects", "megaprojects", a channel named "moon", "true crime", "Nexpo", "National Geographic", and of course all the British comedy (Monty Python, Only Fools and Horses, Black Adder, Faulty Towers, Allo Allo...) and documentary channels (BBC mostly).

I generally stay away from the US channels if possible as they mostly make lower quality content IMHO... Lately there are also a lot of AI created channels which are easily recognisable and avoidable due to only a few different voices and weird dialogue and grammar errors.

Just subscribe to the channels you like best and forget the rest, and your YT wall should always contain something good to watch.

You need a better grasp over what is good information, and what is garbage being dragged out to some minimum file size or video length. Both can be inside the same video. You need to skip through the bs-filled spots. Maybe you need to figure out a better way to get information you are looking for. Improve your search strings, or download real production videos. Be less patient and skip to the good parts.

YouTube is - for the most part - what you make of it. If you're unhappy with your yt feed it's probably your fault I'm afraid.

YouTube was good when people posted tutorial on who to accomplish things.
Now people just talk about drama and you click bait titles.
Good luck finding music tutorials that actually teach you something.

Don't get me wrong... I use YouTube everyday.
It's just not as good as it used to be...

You will also need to use an Adblocker to use it or pay to make it bearable.

I avoid content creators and personalities and only watch old live music concerts and listen to old music because I'm old, too.

Are you joking, You want tips from Grammy mixers and masterers. You want to improve your maths? Do you want to start a startup with 100s of interviews with Google Meta Staff. Every question is on the platform. It only down to your imagination.

i have no idea who this "taylor swift" is (probably because i dont really use youtube?)

what i personally hate the most - beside their recent attempt to block adblockers in the EU - is that you can not search for "least clicked". this would be how i would like to browse for new and interesting music, information or opinions.

instead you are getting your daily mix of "what you viewed yesterday already" (why would i looke the same documentation over and over again), "what others think is hot" (i am not others), and the usual hatespeech and nonsense propaganda videos presented when you log in.

even the channels you bookmarked seem somehow hard to find back in that weird site layout, and operating a channel is a complete mess.

back then, when everything was better, we used hotline and IRC and you just clicked on the client, which instantly opened, dragged files around or started talking to like minded people, without any ads, political restrictions or artificially implemented technical limits.

Burnout is real. Too much of anything can be detrimental.

When I start feeling sick I shut everything down and go outside, but sometimes I ignore my body and end up feeling worse.

I get burnout from screens and the internet. I am currently feeling sick, I think it is time.

Same. Going for a walk every day regularly is great for health, both mental and physical. I miss my dog so much. If I felt lazy I would do it for her and it felt great in the end. Maybe adopt a dog? They need to go out 3x a day at least. I'm taking a break after my old dog died and the new one got kidnapped by my ex wife. I still have too much on my mind and everything is too fresh, nut I am going to adopt another dog as soon as possible. My cats need someone to play with.

Of course not, Youtube has come a long way, once we used to watch by turning on our PCs and waiting for it to load and logging in, is now in our TV sets, i watch the old cartoons on them. Back then we used wait for the program to be aired, now its just a click. Not everything is available on youtube, but u get the point.

For me Its just a form of entertainment, even the tutorials. I dont take it very seriously, especially the ones with people with RGB lights in background. It takes some time and money to do those stuff, doesn't it. Its just way to pass time.

idk i fuck with it; its like a cool reflection of existence. theres so many different realities and worlds happening simultaneously and i can observe some of it; without being apart of it. and almost every area of life has this complexity and depth too it, thats beyond the surface of what youd think. i think its pretty entertaining to observe that, its like life is expressed there in so many ways

like recently ive been watching this shit around interviews with homeless people in Arizona. its kinda dark but sometimes you can see how peoples life change from interview to interview; people die or go to jail, some people get off the streets. it helps widen my perspective and looking from the outside, you can see things, that sometimes can be inspiring or make me reflect on myself or life

even shit like this; its these people going around acting like shopping cart police....

it can be pretty funny sometimes, but it speaks a lot on how subjective morality is; the two opposing views creates this conflict where both think theyre in the right; and how people will act when they feel that way. or how people will push their views unto someone or how selfish people can be, so much human interaction is like this and its on display in shit like this, its entertaining

YouTube has long been a platform for selling information to make money.
Misinformation abounds and the truth is obscured by the overload of information.
Learning something from YouTube means you are already addicted to it.

Yes, lately, there's more and more low effort AI-assisted "content" masquerading as "video essays". It truly reign supreme, and that's the way it will be forever.

That's true only to a certain extent. You need to take active measures to avoid what's imposed on you. Like, I use that browser plugin to block all the clickbait stuff. If I don't, I know I'll see the most outrageous stuff. The dominant culture of the site has become absolute trash.
But yeah, if you have discipline and don't use it like a TV (I'm bored, let's see what's new), then, it's still an awesome ressource with tons of good stuff.
