The effect of sound

The (positive) sound works through three circles of action:

1.) the body is directly addressed by the vibrations
2.) the sound awakens emotions, which especially change the mental state
3.) Order and harmony, which on a mental level remove blockages and restore the inner balance.

Sound, vibration and consciousness

From measurements of electromagnetic brain waves,
it appears that a number of clearly identifiable wavelengths exist, each paired with a state of consciousness.

Researchers have now been able to demonstrate that certain types of music alter brain activity. Beta waves predominate in waking consciousness, alpha waves occur in relaxed wakefulness, while theta waves occur in trance and deep meditation states, and delta waves occur in deep sleep. The frequency of brain waves is therefore characteristic for certain states of consciousness.

Beta waves: 14 - 30 Hertz, the brain is in the awake state;
Alpha waves: 7 - 14 hertz, meditation or relaxation;
Theta waves: 4 - 7 hertz, trance state, deep meditation;
Delta waves: 4 Hertz and less, are predominantly generated in deep sleep.

In the alpha wave range, receptivity is greatest. In the theta and delta range spiritual experiences and blockade solutions take place.
Special sounds (for example from singing bowls) help us much easier to get into the alpha and partly also into the theta range.
