    Hello

I have a pair of KRK Rocket 8 G2's in my bedroom studio and looking to get, or rather build an output desk

At the moment my studio setup is like this, but with the speakers on the shelf

I'm just wondering if 8" speakers are too big...I used to have the 5 g3's and then the 6's.

Whats your thoughts on the speakers and also the output desk

Nah, keep the 8" to check the low end and maybe add a secondary small speaker setup.

Keep the speakers you have. Smaller speakers will not the main problems I am seeing and, will still require an expensive sub to per monitor low end.

    1. Mix position is too close to speakers. Desk should be pulled out so that you are equal distance from speaker when working with keyboard & mouse. The equal triangle.
    2. Closet doors are creating a reflective surface directly behind left side of mix position. Glass makes it worse.
    3. Desk should have a large mouse/mod mat to further reduce reflections.

I would recommend finding a set of headphones that closely resemble your speakers sonically, for critical editing & adjustments.
